Previous covers have been thinner. This is nice and thick and neatly machined to fit the unit. Fits perfectly; as expected.

Good solid bond for roof mounting. The rubber coating hides the magnets and protects the paint. Good thread length and comes with all the bolts and spring washers you need.

This is a bullet proof unit. Solid, and weighty, construction for the metal components. It relies on a foam insert to support the StarLink, which fits snuggly. I’ll be keen to see how it performs with the mount on the roof with some dust and water. I upgraded to ‘security’ bolts. Fits a stainless tether to lock it to the roof bar so it isn’t pinched. The StarLink is well and truly protected under the Perspex cover. A similarly priced unit was lightweight and the cover cracked ok the first outing. So this was a welcome addition to my fleet.

Magnets are perfect strength we travelled 600km HWY and hard offroading, and it did not move 1mm, covered in mud and bugs.
